Serve people and the planet while making profit.
B4Purpose consultation ran from September to December 2020. 40 sustainability ambassadors or pro bono consultants have participated in our working groups. Together they have selected some best practices for inspiring Small and Medium Enterprises on how to become more sustainable and resilient.
How to use the Sustainability Dashboard ?
This video will give you a good insight into the dashboard.
We recommend beginning on the Sustainability Dashboard tab, in the first panel. In this panel, select one impact goal. This can be a goal identified by the ESG risk assessment. Once this impact goal is selected, you will be able to review refined results in the other panels.
Beginning with the second panel, review the materiality of this goal, relative to your business’s sector. This will give you an approximate idea of how relevant the information in the other panels will be to your business. If you are unsure as to how your business should be classified, please review the information provided at https://www.sasb.org/find-your-industry, as the classifications used in this panel were drawn from that classification system.
In the third panel, one or more issues (topics) relating to the selected impact goal will be provided. Each topic will be accompanied by a description of the issue, potential solutions, and a step-by-step action plan for implementation.
The last panel contains a list of key performance indicators (KPIs) that can be used to measure progress. For each topic, the primary associated business risk and impact areas are included. An icon representing the associated U.N. Sustainable Development Goal is also included. KPIs and their descriptions can be looked up using the IRIS Catalog of Metrics.
Next, we recommend downloading and reviewing available materials related to the selected impact goal from the Learning Materials tab. These can include webinar videos, whitepapers, and other reference materials. These can be accessed by clicking the related icon.
Lastly, for any questions regarding terminology and how we define an impact goal or sustainability dimension, definitions can be found on the Glossary tab.
If, having reviewed the material, you want to proceed to the next step in the B4Purpose process, individual consultation, or if you have questions about the process, please contact us at info@eoi-b4purpose.com.
